British Chevening Scholarship for Indian students to study in UK
We are looking for exceptional Indian graduates with strong leadership potential from all
backgrounds, whether public or private sector, or from the NGO field.
Eligibility for British Chevening Scholarship for Indian students to study in UK
Indian national with a valid Indian passport
for Masters (Open) Scholarships 21-35 years on 14 December 2007
the course should not be more than 12 months
fluency in written and spoken English
Candidate should ideally have at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the selected field of study.
Recent graduates must be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership experience through either academic or extra curricular activities.
For Indian students there are up to 120 scholarships on offer every year, awarded in most
subjects (e.g. social sciences and humanities, pure and applied sciences, engineering and technology,
management, finance and media studies). Medicine and related subjects like pharmacy and physiotherapy
are not included in this scheme. Candidates can apply for a one-year master’s programme at any UK
university, or for short-term professional courses (from one to four months’ duration).
